Minimal nutrient requirements for induction of germination of Aspergillus niger conidia

Aspergillus niger reproduces asexually by forming conidia. Here, the minimal nutrient requirements were studied that activate germination of A. To this end, was monitored in time using an oCelloScope imager. Data used as input asymmetric model to describe process swelling and germ tube formation. The maximum number spores (Pmax) activated swell form tubes 32.54% 20.51%, respectively, medium with 50 mM glucose. In contrast, Pmax formation <1% water or Combining glucose either NaNO3, KH2PO4, MgSO4 increased up 15.25% 5.4%, while combining two these inorganic components further values 25.85% 10.99%. Next, 10 amino acid combined a phosphate buffer MgSO4. High (e.g. proline), intermediate low cysteine) inducing acids distinguished. Together, combination carbon source phosphate, nitrogen magnesium sulphate is minimum requirement for conidia germinate.
